How the Hera Virtual Stylist handles your information — written plainly, because you deserve to know exactly what happens.
The Hera Virtual Stylist is an online consultation tool. It lets you describe your hair, and optionally share a photo, so we can offer guidance and an AI visualisation of a possible direction. This page explains how the tool uses that information and the choices available when you save a report.
You never have to upload a photo. The consultation works if you simply describe your hair. A photo only helps us read colour, length, condition and texture more precisely. The choice is entirely yours.
Purpose. Your photo informs your consultation and visual preview. You can separately choose to include the original in a saved consultation report.
Consultation and recommendations. OpenAI processes the consultation information and photos you share to help analyse your hair and prepare recommendations.
Nano Banana Pro previews. When you request an AI preview in this replica, Google receives your photo, the confirmed preview instructions and any inspiration photo included for that request. The separately chosen existing-highlight refinement adjusts your photo directly within Hera's preview service without calling an external image generator for that adjustment.
Interrupted colour previews. Hera temporarily stores the preview request status, generated result and checked direction for up to 25 hours, so you can recover a completed preview without requesting another image. This temporary recovery record does not store your original photo or inspiration photo.
Provider data handling. These providers may process information outside Singapore. Their retention and use of submitted information follow the OpenAI API data controls and Google Gemini API terms. Google's data-use terms differ for paid and unpaid services.
Saved reports. Creating a report stores your contact details, consultation, generated previews and any inspiration reference for up to 180 days. Your original photo is included only when you check the separate photo-inclusion box. You can create a report without including that original photo.
Report links. Anyone with your complete report link can view its contents, including its images and contact details. Share it only with people you want to see that information. Saving a report does not send a message to Hera or book an appointment.
Any image the tool generates is an AI visualisation created for discussion only. It is not a guarantee of your result. Your true outcome depends on your hair's condition and history, and is always confirmed in person by a Hera stylist before any service.
The guidance offered is a professional starting point based on what you share. It does not replace an in-person assessment. Colour, chemical and structural services in particular require a stylist to assess your hair directly before anything is carried out.
We apply reasonable measures to protect the tool from misuse, including limits on automated access. No online service can promise perfect security, but we aim to handle the little information involved carefully and to collect as little as possible.
